In a post-apocalyptic world where alien creatures hunt you if they hear you, a family must struggle to survive while remaining completely silent. This year saw the release of John Krasinski's directorial debut which he co-wrote and starred in along side his real-life wife Emily Blunt, deaf actress Millicent Simmonds who does a fantastic job as the eldest daughter, and Noah Jupe who is also marvelous as the younger son. The entire film makes the viewer feel uneasy with it's innovative plot, the creature design is really creepy, and the characters are well-developed and each have meaningful arcs that make this one very, very special.
