Top Ten Arnold Schwarzenegger Movies
Here are our top ten Arnie flicks!
10. Conan the Barbarian
Barely making it into the top ten is this gem from early in Arnie's career which puts him in a role only he could play. His accent is so thick you can hardly understand what he's saying, but that's a major part of what makes the movie so much fun to watch. It's got a pretty thin, by-the-books, revenge-story plot and mostly one dimensional characters, but also features some great fantasy action with the Austrian Oak swinging his sword and battle axe around. Here and there there are some small peeks at what a good actor he'd eventually become and there's a great supporting performance by James Earl Jones. This is a fun movie to watch and a classic of the over-the-top 1980's action genre.
9. Jingle All The Way
Arnie's best family film is this Christmas cult classic featuring plenty of laughs and quotable lines. Here he plays the closest thing to an everyman we ever see him as in the role of Howard Langston, a workaholic father who tries to get a Turbo Man action figure for his son on Christmas Eve. The hijinks that ensue are hilarious and heartbreaking as he runs into Santa Claus criminals, an obsessive mailman, and the police. It's got great acting, action, and comedy making it a must-see every holiday season.
