Cloverfield 3 Release Delayed
The new Cloverfield film has been delayed again!
New Cloverfield Film Release Date Moved Back!
Slashfilm has reported that the upcoming Cloverfield movie has been pushed back to a new release date. Originally, the third movie in J.J. Abrams Twilight Zone-esque series was set to be released on February 24, 2017 but was delayed to October 27, 2017 and then again to February 2, 2018. Now the film has set April 20, 2018 as it's new official release date. Abrams' produced the first Cloverfield film, from Dawn and War for the Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves, which was released in 2008 after a mysterious marketing campaign. 10 Cloverfield Lane was next film in the franchise, and it hit theaters unexpectedly on March 11, 2016 after the first trailer dropped just one month prior. Both films were made inexpensively and did well with critics and audiences at the box office.
The working title of the new film is God Particle and it is directed by newcomer Julius Onah with Abrams producing. Both Oren Uzel and Star Trek Beyond writer Doug Jung penned the screenplay. This film stars Daniel Bruhl, David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Elizabeth Debicki, Chris O'Dowd, Aksel Hennie, John Ortiz, and Zhang Ziyi. A group of astronauts make a startling discovery in space. The film will be in theaters on April 20, 2018.
