We reported yesterday that according to Deadline Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment are bringing fans a Supergirl feature film, and now the outlet is reporting more on other upcoming DC Films! Production on Cathy Yan's Birds of Prey, which will feature the return of Academy Award-nominee Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, has been slated to begin in January 2019 and while a release date has not been set, the studio is likely eyeing a 2020 release date. The film has been rumored to feature DC characters Black Canary, Huntress, Renee Montoya, and a young Cassandra Cain. Casting rumors have Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible-Fallout) and Jodie Comer (Killing Eve) up for Black Canary, and Alexandra Daddario (San Andreas) being eyed to play Huntress. They also announce that the villains of the film will be none other than Batman rival Black Mask.

The Flash, which will star Ezra Miller in the title role, has now been confirmed to commence production in February 2019. The film is also presumably looking at a potential 2020 release date. Game Night directors and Spider-Man : Homecoming writers Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley will be helming the long-awaited solo feature with a script from King Arthur: Legend of the Sword scribe Joby Harold. In addition to Miller, Kiersey Clemons and Billy Crudup are expected to return as Iris West and Henry Allen, respectively. Fellow Justice League members Gal Gadot and Ray Fisher have also been rumored to appear as Wonder Woman and Cyborg, but the status on both is uncertain at this time.

They also provide an update on The Batman, mentioning that director Matt Reeves has finished his first draft of the screenplay and will likely also roll cameras sometime next year. Warner Bros. has already booked four release dates in 2020 - February 14, April 3, June 5, and July 24 - so, expect to see Birds of Prey, The Flash, The Batman, and a yet-to-be-named fourth film (possibly Cyborg or Green Lantern Corps) land on one of these dates. As for the rest of the confirmed Worlds of DC slate, James Wan's Aquaman, starring Jason Momoa, hits theaters this Christmas while David F. Sandberg's Shazam!, starring Zachary Levi, hits theaters in April 2019. Gal Gadot then reunites with Patty Jenkins for Wonder Woman 1984, which is due out in theaters November 2019.
