The Rock Reveals First Poster For Video Game Adaptation Rampage!
Taking to Twitter, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson released the first poster for his upcoming video game adaptation Rampage. The reveal also comes with the announcement that the film's first trailer will drop online tomorrow. The 1986 arcade game had three animals transformed into giant creatures attacking cities across America. Director of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and San Andreas, Brad Peyton, is behind the camera for this adventure as well which seems to be in his wheelhouse. It's got a solid cast too and seems like it could be lots of fun if not taken too seriously. Also, two more images from the film have been released which you can see above and below.
Rampage is directed by Brad Peyton, written by and stars Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Malin Ackerman, Joe Manganiello, Jake Lacey, Marley Shelton, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, P.J. Byrne, Jack Quaid, Matt Gerald, Brianne Hill, and Urijah Faber. Primatologist Davis Okoye, a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, albino silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend. The movie hits theaters on April 20, 2018.
