Jeffrey Dean Morgan On Playing Batman In Flashpoint Movie
Watchmen & Batman v Superman actor asked if he's playing Batman in Flashpoint!
Will Jeffrey Dean Morgan Play Batman In Flashpoint Movie?
On Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, The Walking Dead actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan was asked if he will reprise his role of Thomas Wayne in the upcoming Flash film and he responded in an interesting way. It was recently announced that DC Films has reworked The Flash movie into an adaptation of DC Comics' Flashpoint storyline by Geoff Johns which features the Scarlett Speedster going back in time to save his mother from his arch-enemy and fellow speedster Reverse Flash which creates an alternate timeline. In this parallel universe, Thomas Wayne becomes Batman after his wife Martha and son Bruce are killed in the infamous Crime Alley of Gotham City. Since this announcement at Comic-Con rumors have swirled as to which character and actors will be featured in the film with Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman recently being added to the cast.
Fans are clamoring for Jeffrey Dean Morgan to return as the Flashpoint version of Thomas Wayne/Batman and it seems very possible given his good relationship with the studio after starring in Watchmen and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. At this point, Flashpoint is still without a director, but Ezra Miller is set to return as Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash and Gal Gadot will co-star as Wonder Woman. Joby Harold is currently writing the script for the film. The movie has gone through no less that four directors and writers since it's inception including Greg Berlanti, Seth Grahame-Smith, Rick Famuyiwa, and Phil Lord and Chris Miller. According to reports Robert Zemekis and Matthew Vaughn are being considered by the studio to helm the movie. The film currently has no release date.
