Han Solo Movie Set Image From Ron Howard!
Cool scene today but I'm afraid this is the most revealing image I dare share from my 1st day on the set of the Untitled Han Solo movie pic.twitter.com/RB15lG7FGE— Ron Howard (@RealRonHoward) June 29, 2017
While the image doesn't give much away, it's cool to know that the director has the shooting underway on the upcoming movie about a young Han Solo. Production began back in February when directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller were helming the project, but due to creative differences they departed the movie and Howard was hired to finish the film. Shooting is expected to end in September. The veteran director's first tweet about the production said that he is “beyond grateful to add my voice to the Star Wars Universe after being a fan since 5/25/77,” referring to the release date of the original Star Wars film.
The untitled Han Solo movie is directed by Ron Howard, written by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, and stars Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Thandie Newton, and Joonas Suatomo. The movie will follow Han from ages 18 to 24 as he is mentored by a criminal, meets Chewbacca, and wins the Millennium Falcon from Lando. It’s slated to hit theaters on May 25, 2018.
