Wonder Woman 2 Arrives In Summer 2020!

Taking to her Twitter account, actress Gal Gadot announced that the sequel to Wonder Woman will debut in theaters on June 5, 2020! The film was originally going to be released on November 1, 2019. It looks like fans will have to wait a bit longer to see the DC superhero again on the big screen. This is good news as it will give the filmmakers more time to work on the movie which began shooting on June 13 in Washington D.C. Patty Jenkins returns to direct from a script Jenkins wrote along with comic book scribe Geoff Johns and Godzilla writer David Callaham and Hans Zimmer will compose the musical score. The film stars Gadot who is returning as Diana Prince, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbera Minerva who becomes the villainous Cheetah, and Pedro Pascal in an undisclosed role. As the title suggests, the movie takes place in the 1980s, over 70 years after the events of the first film. Fans still have Aquaman to tide them over on December 21st and Shazam! which will fly into theaters on April 5th, 2019.
