Young Han Solo Star Wars Movie Gets Official Title
The upcoming Star Wars movie about young Han Solo has a title now!
Solo: A Star Wars Story Is The Official Title Of The Next Star Wars Film!
Today, via Twitter, director Ron Howard revealed the title of the next film set in the Star Wars galaxy! The movie is officially titled Solo: A Star Wars Story. As the title suggest the story will follow a young Han Solo as he becomes an infamous smuggler, before he gets caught up in the Rebel Alliance. This is the second in a series of stand-alone movies which tell stories outside of the main Skywalker Saga Episodes. The first in this series was last year's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story which told tale of the Rebels who stole the plans to the Death Star just before the events of the original movie. Other film projects in the works include movies about Yoda, Jabba the Hutt, and Boba Fett. They recently announced the next film in the lineup is a movie about Obi-Wan Kenobi. In the ever-expanding Star Wars galaxy there is no limit to the kinds of stores they can tell on the big screen.
Solo: A Star Wars Story is directed by Ron Howard, written by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan, and produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur, and Simon Emanuel. The movie stars Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Joonas Suotamo, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Thandie Newton, and Woody Harrelson with Ian Kenny, Paul Bettany, Warwick Davis, and Clint Howard. Han Solo becomes a smuggler, befriends Chewbacca, wins the Millennium Falcon, and goes on the run from bounty hunters and the Galactic Empire, before he meets Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia and gets caught up with the Rebel Alliance. Featuring music by John Powell and cinematography by Bradford Young, the film is set for release on May 25, 2018.
