No one can outrun the truth. The past will always find you. This new trailer highlights the incredible production and design like no other while putting Roger Deakins cinematography on full display. The iconic score by Vangelis also stands out. This story seems to be more intense than the first and has a real sense of urgency to it. The now legendary deleted opening scene from the original is also confirmed to be the opening of this film with a blade runner confronting an aging replicant at his remote home which becomes a battle for survival. The whole cast looks great and everything about this movie from visionary director Dennis Villenueve seems to have it on track to be one of the best of the year.

Blade Runner 2049 is directed by Denis Villeneuve, executive produced by Ridley Scott, and stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana De Armas, MacKenzie Davis, Sylvia Hoeks, Lennie James, Carla Juri, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto. Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years. The film is in theaters on October 6.
