The Transformers prequel dropped a new trailer online!

Watch The Trailer Now!

This new footage from the upcoming Transformers prequel is our best look at the film yet. It looks like we'll be going to Cybertron and get a peek at the war taking place on that alien planet. It also seems like the filmmakers have listened to the vocal fanbase and are finally getting back to the original Gen 1 designs for the Autobots and Decepitcons as we get to see Optimus Prime in all his glory, as well as quick glimpses of Shockwave, Starscream, Soundwave, and many others. The film has a large scale and scope, but it still feels like an intimate character-based drama. That's thanks to the franchise getting some new blood behind-the scene with Travis Knight in the director's chair. Knight has helmed the stop-motion animated film Kubo and the Two Strings, imbuing that story with lots of heart and it looks like he's doing the same thing here. See additional footage in the International trailer below.

On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken.  When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug. Directed by Kubo and the Two Strings helmer and LAIKA boss Travis Knight in his live-action feature debut, Bumblebee also stars John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., John Ortiz, Jason Drucker, Pamela Adlon, and Stephen Schneider, and features the voices of Justin Theroux and Angela Bassett as the villainous pair of Deceptacons following hot on Bumblebee’s trail. Bumblebee arrives in theaters on December 21st.
