The Mummy New Official Trailer

Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization in "The Mummy."

Rebooting a franchise is never easy but having a superstar like Tom Cruise on board will help. Seeking to bring a new cinematic universe to audiences The Mummy takes place in modern day and will introduce movie goers to not only the titular undead princess but also Russell Crowe's Dr. Jekyll and his dark side Mr. Hyde. From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, this film brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters. Screenwriter Alex Kurtzman makes his directorial debut on the film.

Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen (Sofia Boutella of "Kingsman: The Secret Service" and "Star Trek Beyond") whose destiny was unjustly taken from her, is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.  Also starring Annabelle Wallis, Courtney B. Vance, and Jake Johnson the movie hits theaters on June 9.
